Douglas Nicholas wore a wig and put on make-up on at least two occasions to try and pass himself off as his sister.
The 36-year-old first dressed up as his sister the day after she died and walked into a pharmacy with her prescription for Xanax and hydrocodone pills.
Police said Nicholas managed to fool counter staff but when he returned for a second visit was recognized as not being the 'right person.'
Nichols was arrested and subsequently charged with prescription fraud and other related charges.
He is being held on a bond of more than $500,000.
