This newly created clinical pharmacist position will help expand Salina Regional’s current clinical pharmacy program. The pharmacist will also have an integral role in Salina Regional’s post graduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy residency program that will begin in July 2012. This pharmacist will be responsible for unit-based direct patient care, rounding with physicians, monitoring drug therapy, responding to emergency situations, and precepting pharmacy students and residents. Additional responsibilities include prescription order processing, medication dispensing, and ensuring the safety and accuracy of dispensed medications. Minimum education and experience: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and meet ASHP’s requirements of a pharmacy residency preceptor. Residency training is preferred for this position.
Required Licensure/Certification: Current Kansas pharmacist license or eligible for Kansas license.
